A Few Ideas For a Fun Date - Don't Worry Too Much About What to
Do
By Anne-Marie Thebeau
You're reading this article for one of two reasons, either you just set up a
hot date, and have no idea where to take her, or you're wanting to ask a girl
on a date, but aren't sure where you should go. Well, fear not, all your
problems will be answered in this article.
First, let's understand what makes a date fun. A fun date is one that is
relaxed, easy going and just let's things unfold naturally. So, in reality a
fun date could be sitting across from each other at home on the couch.
But if you are not an expert in the art of conversation, you will probably want
to rely on some crutches to do the work for you. That's where you can use
location to your advantage.
Before I give you some specific locations, let me give you this piece of
advice, the funnest dates are those that seem to occur spontaneously, without a
lot of thought or planning. I want you to consider this, can you plan a date so
that it looks like it just happened. You bet your hat you can. And that's what
you should go for.
Here's one thing I love to do, taking them mini golfing. But I don't like to
say, Hey, want to go mini golfing? Boring. I make it happen by accident. We
will be driving down the road and I will just happen to pass the mini golf
course. Bang! Instant date.
Another thing I love to do is take a woman shopping with me. This eases the
tension. It works like this, Hey, I got a lot of stuff to do on Thursday, why
don't you just go with me. This is subtle, but effective. Basically, you're
inviting her into your world, but it was something you were going to do anyway,
so it's not a big deal. This takes the pressure of the date itself, and makes
it more fun.
Then, you just go down town and buy some stuff that you needed to buy anyway.
In the meantime, you can window shop and just make the whole thing a fun time.
Another fun date idea is to do something that neither one of you have ever
done, that is incredibly silly. I'm talking about something like square
dancing. Almost every newspaper has an event calendar where you can find out
about this kind of stuff. Or just go online, and use it to brainstorm ideas.
But remember, try to make them unfold naturally, and not as something that you
put a lot of time and effort into making happen.
